When my husband and I want a relaxing get-away we head to The Spa at Pinehurst located in the Pinehurst Resort. We like taking advantage of the wonderful amenities and services the Spa has to offer and it’s hard to believe that it’s just five minutes from our house! We usually go on a Sunday and the minute we step through the door the wind down begins. From the soft lighting and the soothing music, to the smiling faces of the staff and the wonderful smells of lavender and eucalyptus, it’s hard not to let go of all of your cares and begin embracing the ambiance and relaxation that lies ahead.
The Spa’s services and packages are varied but we usually choose to keep it simple and start with a manicure, pedicure and a much needed message. We are welcomed at the front desk and whisked away to our perspective dressing areas where we hop into the uniform of the day, a comfy robe and slippers. Refreshments are provided and then it’s off to more pampering and relaxation. Afterwards we may choose to lounge by the pool and read a good book, swim, or we sometimes head to the saunas and whirlpool.
The Spa is quiet and intimate and we always look forward to having our lunch by the pool or out on the secluded wraparound porch. The great thing about the Spa is even if you’re getting one treatment like a haircut, manicure or pedicure you are welcome to spend the day and take advantage of the Spa’s “comfort zones” at no additional charge. Now who could pass that up?
